Parsons' Prairie Farm

After a wonderful weekend of visiting with family, we spent Sunday working in the garden. 

Papa Overbey came over to help so he and Jeff started planting the strawberry patch. 

It was a very sunny, warm spring day so both of them were wearing their hats to protect their skin from the sun.  Just so you know who is who…….

Papa Overbey is the one in the straw hat.

And Jeff is the one in the canvas hat.

Grandma Overbey and Shadow supervised the work while I took the pictures.

Jeff planted a row of onions; red onions, Vidalia onions and green onions.

We have much more to still plant in our garden.  But we were just too pooped to do any more on Sunday.  Even Shadow had to rest in the cool grass.  Watch for more garden updates to come.
